Masks for Mull!

Working with frontline NHS Staff and Carers, a small team of volunteers have developed a design for home-made masks. Several prototypes were tested by the staff at the Hospital before arriving at the final design.
The design uses readily available fabrics, and incorporates a pouch for a disposable filter. A high performance HEPA filter material will be used in masks for NHS Staff and Carers.
Although the masks can be used without a filter, a filter offers greater protection. We have conducted extensive research, and learned that materials such as coffee filter papers, paper towels and non-woven material like (unused) Jay cloths work well.
We are looking for volunteers to produce masks for use by our NHS staff and Carers, and key workers including shop staff and delivery drivers, plus of course by the wider public.
If you need fabric for the mask, wire inserts, or ribbon for ties, please contact Moray Finch mfinch@mict.co.uk
